Washington church of Christ
We are an independent Bible-Believing church. We have no leaders, as such, instead we aim
to let God guide our lives and actions. We seek to let
go of the traditions and trappings that history has added to the church –
and to chase after the real nature of the Christian faith. Our weekend
service presents the timeless truths of Christianity in a way that impacts
people in their lives today. No matter where you are on your spiritual
journey, you can grow in your understanding of Christianity at these
services. Midweek we have small groups that meet in the building and at
homes, which also foster relationships and spiritual growth.
Services are about one hour long, beginning at 11am,
friendly and casual, with a mixture of singing, prayer and teaching. At the end
of the meeting our regular members share prayers of thanks and requests. We do not require anyone to kneel or perform any
strange tasks! We know it can be daunting to visit a new and unfamiliar
place. If you wish, a regular member will be happy to sit with you and
guide you all that happens. During the worship time the regular members will share
the bread and wine of the Lord’s Supper. You’re welcome to share this if you
wish. No-one will make you do so, or stop you from joining in. It is entirely dependant on
your relationship with Jesus. In our worship services we sing a’capella, which means
without instruments, like early Christians did, …. but the songs are a lot
more up-to-date!!! Our songs are a mixture of traditional and contemporary,
upbeat and glorifying to God.
We have on-site parking at the rear of the
building.
This Link gives more details about how to reach our building. We have ground level entry to the building
from the street and car park. There are disabled facilities within and
all rooms are accessible with wheelchairs.
We meet during the week to encourage one another in our
lives, to study, to share times of relaxation. We hope we can
cater for your needs and hopes just as our friends do for us. Please
come join us !
